Mrs Olives
I love to champion local food businesses and I can’t recommend this one enough! Mrs Olives is the delivery branch of ‘Olive Bar Wales’ (who can be found at many of the local produce markets). They sell a range of authentic olives, as well as other bits and bobs.
Two of my great passions are travel and food! The goodies from Mrs Olives have transported me to the Greek Islands and the Spanish Costas, as well as other destinations! I recently hosted a Greek night to get me in the mood for my Greek Island hopping adventure this summer and Mrs Olives delivered one of their selection bags with a Greek Meze theme. I had the most fabulous Feta Stuffed Olives and Bell Peppers, as well as two further Greek Olive Mixes. There were also Dolmades, authentic Feta cheese and the showstopping Butterbeans with Dried Tomatoes and Garlic Sauce. My guests all commented on how delicious the produce was! Throw in a couple of Greek Gins and some dodgy Greek music and we could have been sitting in a Greek Taverna!
This Greek selection bag was home delivered and cost £30 (smaller £20 selections are also available), which was very reasonable when you consider the quality of the produce. I won’t be able to look at Supermarket olives in quite the same way again after sampling Mrs Olives wares!
I had previously also sampled a mixed selection bag which contained three olive varieties, two types of cheese, Tapenade, Harissa and the most fabulous Anchovies.
Mrs Olives is very accommodating, and I was able to request the presence or absence of products each time. I’m not a fan of too much garlic, so products were selected for me that were not too garlic heavy! And of course when I requested Greek themed items, that’s exactly what I got.

- Uplands Market: 9am-1pm – Last Saturday of each month (Gwydr Square, SA2 0HD)
