Gower Doughnuts
Gower Doughnuts are fresh, handmade gourmet doughnuts available at select coffee shops and cafes in Swansea. I first tried Gower Doughnuts at Onboard Surf and Coffee in Killay, where they were recommended to me. I was not disappointed! Regular stockists of these doughnuts include Rag and Bone Café – West Cross, Café 93 – Mumbles, Uplands Burger Co, The Optimist Bar & Kitchen – Uplands and Mumbles Pier café. You’ve got to be quick as they do not hang around for long! Doughnuts do occasionally appear at other venues, keep your eyes peeled!
Each week there are three different flavour of doughnut available. There are many flavours! I have tried the Classic Blackcurrant Jam & Vanilla Bean Custard, Nutella, Chocolate Orange, Raspberry & Coconut Custard and Coffee & Walnut. Examples of some of the other flavours are Banoffee, Eton Mess, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam, Apple Crumble….. the list goes on! Each filling is homemade and inserted into the handmade doughnuts which are then rolled in vanilla infused sugar. Yum!
Gower Doughnuts are also available to order for collection in Killay or delivery to SA1/SA2/SA3 postcodes on a Friday. It is £15 for 10 doughnuts and you can order through their Facebook page (Gower Doughnut Co). Orders must be placed by a Wednesday for collection/delivery that Friday. I recently ordered a batch for the Mums at my local playgroup and they were very well received!!!
Doughnuts are also available to order for weddings or parties and have also been a fixture at the Marina and Uplands Local Produce Markets.
