Welcome to my blog!

I’m Rachel – The Barista Baker – and my blog is about all of my favourite things!

As the name suggests, I love all things coffee!  I love making coffee, sharing a coffee with friends, visiting coffee shops and learning about coffee!  I’d ultimately love to be a Barista!  My blog contains reviews of coffee shops, coffee beans, brew methods and current coffee trends.

I also love baking (cupcakes in particular!) and my blog contains many of my own recipes, as well as my favourite recipes of others, along with baking hints and tips.

I have the travel bug and am usually planning a trip (or more!)  My favourite part of travel is the food!  My blog has posts about my travels, with a particular focus on the coffee and food of the countries I’ve visited!

Closer to home I love to champion local produce.  I often post about the food producers of Swansea and the rest of South Wales.

My blog started as a hobby (and a therapy) after I was widowed last year at the age of 39.  I sometimes blog about ‘being positive’ and ‘being Mum & Dad’ to my 2 Sons.  Luckily for me I have a wonderful network of family, friends and support.
