Pumpkin Spice Latte

Sometimes even a coffee snob craves a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte! So I’ve done a bit of research and come up with a recipe to create a homemade version of the drink.
Ingredients:
- 200ml milk (whole milk is best for a creamier texture but low fat or dairy alternatives can be used)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp pumpkin puree (tins of pumpkin puree can be bought at supermarkets)
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- double espresso shot
- spray/whipped cream
Method:
In a small saucepan simmer the milk, sugar, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla for about 5 minutes. Whisk the mixture. Prepare a double espresso shot and place in a mug or glass of your choice. Pour in the milk mixture. Top with spray cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Enjoy!
If you like your PSL to have a bit of a kick, you can create a ‘Baileys’ PSL by adding the limited edition ‘Baileys Pumpkin Spice’. Simply add 50ml of Baileys Pumpkin Spice to a double espresso shot and 150ml of textured milk. Sprinkle with some pumpkin spice mix. Perfect for an Autumn evening!
